Carrying the burdens of others.
Galatians 6:2 ‘Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.’
We are one family in Christ.
The law of Christ is that we love one another as Christ loved us.
A burden is a weight that can become too heavy to bear.
Carrying the burdens of others means being there when we are needed;
always ready to encourage;
and being a support in difficult times.
It means lifting each other up
when pressure and discouragement could bring us down.
It may involve the need to give practical help
but there are burdens that must be carried in prayer.
We need to pray fervently for one another
and to strengthen one another
by building each other up in the scriptures.
