Only the gospel makes a person new.
Acts 17:21 ‘(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)’
The Athenians grew old seeking something new.
They did not seek truth;
they sought for a new idea; a new point of view;
a new philosophical thought; a new way to follow.
The world will always be drawn by the excitement of something new.
Only the gospel makes a person new; gives new life;
creates in us a new heart; puts a new song in our mouth;
renews our youth as the eagles;
and lets us enjoy the mercies of the Lord that are new every morning.
The gospel of Christ alone brings newness of life.
