The armoury of self and the armour of God.
Romans 13:12 ‘The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.’
The works of darkness will provide us with the armoury of self.
They will fill our heart with every evil desire
so that self can sit unrivalled on the throne of our life.
We are to cast it off.
Our life is short; Jesus will soon return;
we cannot play with sinful desires.
We are to put on the Lord Jesus Christ.
When Christ is our life
then we have everything we need to live for Him.
The armour He gives will keep us
from the seduction of wrong desires
and the corruption of a covetous world.
